What is Neurofeedback Therapy?

Imagine how life could be with a clear and focused mind, free of fear, pain, depression and confusion.   Warwick Brain and Spine Therapy Center specializes in Neurofeedback which can have a positive effect on many brain related disorders.   Neurofeedback therapy, recently recommended by the American Pediatric Association as a ‘Level 1’ best treatment for ADHD works by normalizing  brainwave function to assist in the recovery of many brain conditions that have only been manageable, but never correctable, with medication.

At Warwick Brain and Spine Therapy we do not treat specific psychological conditions but rather the abnormal brainwave patterns that have been associated with these conditions.
Neurofeedback therapy, begins with a comprehensive mapping of the brain’s electrical brain waves while the patient interacts with auditory and visual stimuli that are broadcast on a computerized monitor.  Once the brain mapping is complete, a comprehensive analysis of the brainwave patterns are compared to normative data that has been compiled over many years to see if the wave patterns appear abnormal and if they are consistent with the subject’s symptoms and pathology.
